Supply Chain Category Specialist

·       Support the Sr Manager, Strategic Sourcing in achieving cost reductions in assigned categories

·       Collaborate directly with stakeholders (internal and external) to develop optimization strategies and improvement plans

·       Conduct Supplier and Distributor price audits to ensure reporting measures consistent with contract price negotiations.

·       Measuring and tracking performance of suppliers

·       Develop knowledge and best practices in the categories within areas of responsibility

·       Analyzing supplier performance data to provide input to category sourcing strategy

·       Ensuring execution of strategies within user area

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing and supports the work of the Supply Chain and Food Safety Team, a group of approximately 5+ people.  The Supply Chain Category Specialist interacts extensively with cross functional departments in support of organizational initiatives. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field

·       OR, High School or equivalent and 5-8 years related work experience is required.  Related work experience includes supply chain/sourcing work experience.

Minimum Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• 2+ Years Supply Chain

·       Experience in Supply Chain product / packaging sourcing

·       Experience in distribution and/or logistics

·       Strong presentation and engagement skills.

·       Strong analytical and problem solving skill.

·       Aptitude for balancing multiple priorities with strong organization and prioritization capability.

·       Exceptional ability to build consensus across a wide range of constituents.

Travel Requirement

• Occasional travel may be required 5%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·       Small/Medium group presentation skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.

·       Strong team player

Educational Level/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field preferred
• Supply Chain Professional Certification preferred

Work Experience and Qualification

• Experience working in restaurant business management, food distribution, supply chain, inventory management, or similar role.
