Italian Beef Sandwich Kit (8 Sandwiches)

Food was great as always. One suggestion. It would be better if the sweet peppers were sent in two containers. We usually eat half the order and then freeze the second for latter so there are no peppers for then.

We are from Chicago( now Florida and waiting for the Lady Lake shop to open here) and love Portillo's Beefs. We sent them to our son and daughter in law for their lst Anniversary. Best present ever they said!!!

I have never been disappointed by Portillos. It's like a taste of home (Chicago). The beef is delicious, and so is the gravy. And the service is tremendous. I always get it on time and it is as frozen as when it was packed. I never hesitate to reorder when I run out. My advice is double your order so you always have it on hand in your freezer.

The shipment was sent to my girlfriend in Tennessee, where there are no Italian Beef restaurants. I believe you cannot even buy it in the grocery stores. It all came frozen with 2 one lb. containers of beef and of sauce. It also came with 8 Italian beef rolls in 2 packages of 4, where the bread was frozen, but half-baked and just had to be heated for a short time to finish the baking. Also included was a plentiful bag of sweet peppers and a jar of giardiniera. My girlfriend had 4 of the sandwiches within the week. She kept the rest frozen for later. She has been down in Tennessee for 7 years taking care of her elderly mother, who died in February. She recently fractured her left ankle and I sent this to her as a 'comfort package.' She plans to come up here and live with me eventually. We have been friends for 12 years, but only been a couple for a little over 4 years. Our love has grown stronger since she has been down there. She is my best friend and my soul mate. M

I am originally from Chicago and was very happy when Portillo's came to Arizona. When I cannot travel to one of the restaurants I order the italian beef sandwiches delivered. But, I frequently make only one sandwich at a time. The frozen packaging that arrives are arranged to make 4 sandwiches at a time. That is the only reason I did not rate 5 star. Even 2 sandwiches at a time would be better.

I love all of the Portillo products for years. But moved from Naperville, IL to SC 16 years ago and wish you opened a Portillos in my area.

I'm extremely grateful that I am able to get Portillo's delivered to another state because when we moved away from the Chicago area I was afraid I would not be able to get a good Italian beef sandwich ever again. I need my Portillo's! My family orders Portillo's a few times a year. My only complaint is that I hate the pouch and I miss the tub with the au jus.

You'd think that a city like this would have a GOOD Italian beef sandwich shop? Nothing can compare to a Portillo's Beef!

At least twice a year I send my dad the beef package so he can have a taste of home! We've always loved Portillo's and he loves getting the package and dining that same day! Thank you Portillo's!!!

Outstanding! The order came with directions on how to reheat. Just as delicious as if we were at the restaurant. Very generous amount of sweet green peppers.

My mom grew up in Chicago, and turned me on to Portillos. Although I’ve never visited an actual Portillos, the Italian Beefs shipped… are INCREDIBLE!!! YUM!!!

Love these beef sandwiches! Been a fan of Portillo's since the mid sixties, when my dad used to take us to the original Dog House! The beef is absolutely delicious, so flavorful and tender. The "gravy" just makes the sandwich, and leftover gravy is great for dipping just about anything! The sweet peppers are my favorite, and my guys love the jardiniere.

Product was great as usual! Only issue was there was no information (that I definitely included) to identify we had sent the beef. Recipients made several calls to try and figure out who gifted them Portillos. Appreciate your efforts to make this possible. Portillos is awesome!

Not only would I recommend this to a friend, but I do recommend it. I encounter people from the Chicago area all the time in Colorado. Everyone knows about Portello's, but does not know you can order online for delivery in other states. This is a spectacular service. Whenever we come back to visit, we make sure to stop by one of the locations for a beef sandwich. Love them. It is now a tradition to have Portello's beef sandwiches for both Easter dinner and Father's Day. The Grandkids love them and eat every bite. (somewhat unusual for kids). Thanks for remaining the standard for Italian beef sandwiches. NO better.

Lived in Chicagoland area all my life and Portillo’s is always the best place to go. Highly recommend it to family and friends. Moved to Mo. 6 yrs ago and ordered Portillo’s online for shipment for Easter. However everything was great until I went To take gravy packages out of fridge. They were greasy and slippery and the 2 that I was holding fell right on the floor and Broke open. Needless to say there was not nearly enough gravy for the 2 beef orders. Suggest putting gravy in another Bag or something so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Still love Portillo’s!!!!!!!!

Loved my Portillos but like others my gravy did leak but not bad.

We have always enjoyed Portillos, since living in the Chicago area for YEARS. We now have Portillos in AZ, the closest one being 40 minutes away. We thought we'd try the frozen delivery. We could keep frozen what we didn't use for another time Unfortunately, when it was delivered, it had leaked all over the inside box and though the delivery cardboard box. We saw one of the packages was cut, and leaked all over the bags, the bread.... We had quite the mess to clean up. The saved sandwiches were VERY GOOD!

Quality of beef is poor. No thinly sliced pieces of beef, mostly shredded tiny bits that you have to fish out of the gravy. 1 bag of gravy had a small hole and leaked. Even the bread is cheap, what happened to the baguettes you used to carry? I am from Chicago and loved getting Portillo’s growing up, but in recent years, the quality has declined. Thought it would be a nice treat for the family, not so much. Also, include onions and tomatoes with the hot dogs. Not something I would recommend or buy from now on. Delivery was quick.
