Maxwell St. in Chicago is where this style of Polish sausage was born more than 75 years ago. Our founder, Dick Portillo, frequented the famous corner of Maxwell St. & Halsted St. as a young boy, where he recalls the sweet smell of grilled onions from the Polish sausage street carts. Dick brought the Maxwell St. Polish to the menu so everyone could enjoy the taste of Maxwell Street at Portillo’s. Now, you can get this famous sausage shipped to you!

Everyone loved the Maxwell St. Polishes and they loved my stories of getting one after leaving a party or the club. :) I had one issue (there were no onions included in my shipment) but it was taken care by the great customer service team there (thank you)! I wish that there was a bundle that included the polish sausages and tamales - that would be a great hit!!! Thank you for always curbing our Chicago Food Cravings!!!
