From April 6 – June 8, The Dog House Will Travel On a 10-Stop Tour to Various Portillo’s

Locations Across the Greater Chicago Area to Offer Fans Exclusive Merchandise and the Chance to Win Portillo’s for a Year

WHO: Portillo’s, the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of Chicago-style favorites.

WHAT: In honor of the Company’s 60th Anniversary on April 5th – which has officially been declared “Portillo’s Day” by mayoral proclamation – Portillo’s will be taking the iconic Dog House – the original hot dog stand opened by Dick Portillo in 1963 – on a tour across Chicago (full schedule below).

Each Thursday from April 6 – June 8, the Dog House will post up at a different Portillo’s restaurant to sell limited edition anniversary-themed merchandise – including t-shirts, Dog House hats, magnets, a tour poster and more. Each stop of the tour will also feature Portillo’s prize wheel, giving fans the chance to spin and win Portillo’s swag and offers.

In addition, the first 10 fans to visit the Dog House at each stop of the tour will receive an offer for one free slice of Portillo’s legendary, homemade double-layered chocolate cake. Fans can also enter Portillo’s birthday sweepstakes for the chance to win free Portillo’s for a year at the Dog House or inside any Portillo’s restaurant starting April 5.

WHEN/WHERE:            The Dog House will be open every Thursdays beginning April 6 through June 8, from 4-7pm, in the restaurant parking lot at the following locations:

 

  • April 6 – Canal & Taylor (520 W. Taylor Street)
  • April 13 – Oak Lawn (4020 W. 95th Street)
  • April 20 – Bolingbrook (134 E Boughton Rd.)
  • April 27 – Downers Grove (1500 Butterfield Rd.)
  • May 4 – Naperville (1992 W. Jefferson)
  • May 11 – Glendale Heights (235 North Ave.)
  • May 18 – Elgin (1020 S. Randall Rd.)
  • May 25 – Crystal Lake (855 Cog Circle)
  • June 1 – Rockford (6090 State Street)
  • June 8 – Villa Park (635 1/2 North Ave.)
