Get Paid the Portillo's Way

  1. Your compensation will be highly competitive. As an example, the average Portillo's General Manager earns $128,000 per year. 
  2. Earn an extra $3/hour on five major holidays.
  3. Get paid daily so you can access funds from your paycheck on the day you need it instead of waiting for pay day.
  4. As a manager and shift leader, you'll be awarded quarterly performance bonuses.
  5. General Managers and Market Managers receive discretionary annual Restricted stock units.
Training & Development

Rewards & Recognition

We got you at Portillo's. Managers receive monthly "franks a lot" funds to celebrate team members who live our values and you'll receive anniversary awards to celebrate your time spent with us. You'll also earn an extra $3/hour on select holidays, get a uniform allowance, and refer a friend to work with you and you'll get a gift valued at $50 and $150 when they stay for 90 days.

Plus, earn bun-believable swag like Bluetooth speakers, wireless headphones or a Portillo's branded Yeti for friends who apply for a job at Portillo's. After they've been employed with us for 90 days, you will receive a $150 referral bonus.

In 2020, we made the health and well being our 6,000+ Team Members our top priority.

No team members were laid off
during the pandemic

Portillo's paid $4 million in discretionary bonuses to team members and managers.

We launched the "Heart of Portillo's Fund" to give financial grants to team members in dire need. In 2020, the fund raised $300,000.

Portillo's paid team members for shifts missed due to restaurant closures during days of civil unrest in markets that were affected, including Chicago.

Portillo's updated its team member perk from a 50% discount on Portillo's food to a 100% discount on Portillo's food.

The company provided gift cards to team members (active and on-leave) to feed their families.

A wellness team was created to support restaurants with COVID-19 questions and team members who may have fallen ill.
