On November 14th 2018, our Champaign Portillo’s location celebrated their 500th Day of business! We want to give a big shout out and thank you to the people of Champaign who have supported us with such a warm welcome in our first 500 days in the community.
We offered $1 slices of our famous chocolate cake, as well as handed out commemorative 500-Day Celebration t-shirts and other fun Portillo’s swag items at our 500 Day Celebration. Plus, during the month of November, every guest who placed an online order from our Champaign Portillo’s location was also entered into our sweepstakes to win a grand prize of free Portillo’s for a year! Stay tuned - we will be announcing the winner on November 30th!
The Champaign-Urbana schools have been very supportive of us with Portillo's for Good fundraising nights, sponsorships, and other partnerships, so we wanted to show our gratitude by making them the recipients of a check donation to promote the best education we can for local students and their families. During the month of November, 20% of all online order sales will go to the Champaign-Urbana Schools Foundation (up to $2,500). Thank you Kelly Hill, the Executive Director at the Champaign-Urbana Schools Foundation, for joining us at our celebration for our check presentation. We also want to thank Champaign-Urbana Mayor Deborah Feinan, for coming out to celebrate with us on our 500th Day of business.
