I ordered for Christmas Eve dinner. It was the perfect sandwich. My family loved it. Will definitely order again.

You should offer your ribs for shipping as well

The first 3 or 4 times I ordered this package, it was the perfect setup for us - 2 people! We could make 2 meals out of each setup - 1 juice package, 1 beef package, 1 rolls package, 1 sweet pepper package and some of the hot giardiniera. Now, instead of 4 packages of beef, you get 2(which need to be split up)!!! And, the new package comes with less sweet peppers and hot giardiniera!!! I will not be ordering this setup anymore, unless you go back to the old setup. I'd be willing to pay more for the old setup, but won't be buying this one again! Let me know if you go back to the old setup I mentioned.

I’ve been ordering 80 (4 boxes) for our family New Year’s party since 1999. There has never been a year that the boxes were not delivered on time. There has never been a year that the food quality wasn’t there. This year, though, there were a couple of issues. First, the bread was changed. I think it’s the same bread and I think the intent was supposed to be enhanced (the bread was individualized and pre sliced), but the texture was a little off due to the baking. The second issue is the amount of green peppers you get per order is extremely disproportionate to the number of sandwiches. There is literally not enough to go on each sandwich so we had to dice them up to spread them around. It was a disappointing year but only 1 out of 27 orders so my batting average is still very high. Hoping Portillos at least adds more green peppers into the orders. I think we can try to live with the change of bread (same bread just different because it bakes differently as personal sizes).

Everything was wonderful. Arrive as promised. The taste was as if I was right at Portillo. Fresh, moist as so taste. Was my first time shopping and was very happy. Friends were not aware of portillo’s as there is nothing close to here.

I order this every year as a birthday gift to myself. I did not receive my full order. I ended up with more bags of Jus than meat… I’m not sure what happened- I even paid for expedited shipping! I won’t order again… I’m very, very disappointed.

Meat was thoroughly frozen, even with a holiday driven delay of one day In fact everything was as if I had picked it up that day in Chicago.

Italian beef sandwiches from Portillo's is my favorite food in the world. I have ordered it several times and it never disappoints! I recently found out that the customer service is just as good as the beef. My shipment got delayed because of weather and the holiday so Portillo's sent me a replacement order with no questions asked - five star service - I will definitely order again and again

Not enough sweet pepper and there should be an option to get the sausage combo as well.

As much as I love Portillo‘s being originally from Chicago. I was disappointed in this delivery as it had a lot of fat and a lot of dry end pieces. ??

Could use many more green Peppers. (double)

I have been a Portillos customer for over 50 years. The quality has remained consistent good. However, the change to French bread was very disappointing. Please go back to the Italian rolls you used up until recently.

This negative experience we had was not with the quality of the food. The actual food was, as always. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. First, I paid extra for Saturday delivery….it came late due to weather. We were only ok with our party only because I ordered early just in case. Secondly, the bag with sweet peppers had only six slices of peppers. I had to go on line, find a recipe, and make sweet peppers on my own. We are from Illinois and LOVE Portillo’s. We have it shipped every Christmas for our group of Montana expatriates. The actual Food was great. We loved it…..the rest of the experience, not so much.

I would have liked 2 packages of green peppers with the big box, everyone loved the sandwiches

We order this beef every year. Sometimes several times a year and it is always great. We have never been dissatisfied with our order or the quality of food. The order has been on time every time.

Would normally be an automatic 5 stars but 2 disappointments. One, the old full sized Gonella rolls much better than 1/2 size Turano. Two…what bean-counter MBA geek figures 8 oz sweet peppers is enough for 32 beefs? Did you guys get bought out by private equity or something? P The beef itself and gravy still top notch!

We love Portillo's Italian beef and have ordered it for years. It is our Christmas Eve tradition. I was not a fan if the new packaging for the beef this year…in past years we received 5 one-pound packages. This year we received 2 packages. This was not as convenient as we needed to open both packages for the number of people to be served…in past years sometimes we only had to open 3…thus being able to save 2 for future use. Also, the rolls were much smaller. What's going on???

Beef was great. Rolls were moldy 7 days after delivery.

This year the buns were smaller but still good. Not enough sweet peppers with the order. It was maybe enough for half. I have enough to have another night of Portillos that we love but not the sweet peppers or enough hot peppers. I didn’t see where you could order more of these?

Ordering Portillos to serve Christmas Eve has been a tradition for a while now. This order was excellent, as usual, but a change in the size of the sandwich rolls for the Italian Beefs has, at the very least, given me...pause. Shrinkflation? Was disappointed with the change to four inch rolls.

Long time customer, not happy with the short rolls but realized they are easier to eat. I ordered a large order 16-20 but only received a small sweet pepper. Also, in years past you would ship a mild and a hot guardinara but only received one jar of hot. I’ll always love Portillo's but these changes over time are disappointing.

The beef was good but I don't like the new way they package it be for it was 5 #1 package I could get 5 meals out of the 5 #1 package now it's 2 #2 1/2 package I won't be order it any more and they cut the bread in half
