Family loves Portillo's beef

These are awesome! Great for any get together!

We grew up in Brookfield, Il and love this beef.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience!! The food comes in a large box that was expertly packed with all the yummy food!! The instructions were very clear and precise. I will definitely be ordering this again... I have never personally been to a Portillo's but my husband has and he said that the smell in the house was just like when you walk into the restaurant!!

I had placed the order for an 80th birthday party to be delivered on the 14th. Shipping was a disaster, and I received no communication even though two phone numbers were given. As of the morning of the 17th, we still had not received the order. Tracking on the order was checked multiple times and kept on saying it would be delivered by 8pm on each day. The party occurred with food from Costco with the 80-year-old wearing a Portillos T-shirt. Very dissapointing!!!! I called on the morning of the 17th to cancel order and was told that the delivery probably could not be made because it was a gated community, and the unit number was not on the address. I explained that no phone number was tried and there is a directory at the gate. The customer service person advised that the delivery person does not have to call anyone. It was also frustrating that the customer service voicemail was not open on Sunday and the message stated that they opened at 9am on Monday but didnt until 10.

My only complaint is that we can’t order extra bread. We never have enough bread. But the food is delicious.

The sandwiches and all the fixings arrived at the scheduled time and everything was frozen, so we put it in the freezer until the day of the birthday party. The instruction sheet was so helpful for thawing and preparing the beef, the gravy, and the buns. The Italian beef sandwiches were delicious and everyone enjoyed them. You were out of stock of Italian sausage so I bought my own so we could make combos for those that wanted them. Those turned out great too. Loved it all! Thank you so much Portillo's!

I loved the beefs. The shipping was quick and they arrived frozen and looked like they were packed within the same hour. As to taste, they were the Portillos I love and have always missed since I moved. They were easy to prepare and I like that they are sent in 1 lb packages because its perfect for two people and the rest are left in my freezer on hand for a special treat. Keep up the good work.

I’m from Chicago. My company submitted bids on Dick Portillo’s house in Oak Brook. Even a huge fan of the company, I bought stock when it first went public. Unfortunately the stock is a dog at 10 bucks yet chipotle is 3k lol. Food is always great tho. We need one here in Austin, I miss the chop salad.

Portillos is always delicious. I have ordered for delivery before and will do so in the future. This last batch of beef had noticeably more fat in it than l recall seeing in the past. Perhaps it was a one-off. If l see it in my next order, l will remember to take a picture and submit it if l can.

This was a big hit for our staff meeting. Everything was shipped as stated. The directions are perfect. We will order again!

This is our fourth tine ordering and it definitely won’t be the last!!!!! We absolutely love the Italian beef sandwiches!!!! Whether you are eating them by their self or paired with your favorite side dish! Can’t go wrong at family dinners!!!!

The food is still delicious, though changes in the product are concerning to us. The beef used to come to us rare to medium rare so that when you heat, it’s perfect. We have been receiving meet that is so overcooked that it crumbles when you separate it. We used receive large buckets of gravy and now they’re in small bags. We can tell it’s way less gravy, making it harder to keep the meat covered to heat. We would rather pay more for the better product, than have the meet and gravy decreased. We were born and raised in Chicago. We know how hearty and good the food is supposed to be. On our prior order, a bag of gravy broke open and lost about half of it.

They are just Totally Awesome!! Especially, if you are serving to people who "claim" they know Italian Beef... HAHA!! They rave about the flavor and the Gravy!! Bread done in 5 minutes!! And, ONLY Order from Portillo's, and NOT from Tastes of Chicago as Portillo's is the only way to get the sweet peppers in your order kit!! I HIGHLY Recommend this order !!!!

Everything we needed with simple instructions to create sandwiches identical to the restaurant! The order process is simple, and we were updated on the delivery date which was as promised.

My husband loved your sandwiches and would get as excited as a little kid whenever he received an order from you. He died 3 years ago and we recently had a celebration of life for him. When wondering what to serve family for dinner that night, there was no question that it would be your delicious sandwiches. Everyone had a big smile as we munched on them and remembered Gary's delight whenever he ate one. Thank you for your always beautifully presented and wonderfully yummy food. (Gary also loved your hot dogs!)

If you don't have a Portillo's in your area like we don't, have it shipped! My Dad grew up in the Chicago area (Oak Lawn) and misses Portillo's Italian beef sandwiches from his younger days. And now he also has gotten the rest of the family hooked. So we have it shipped to us for Christmas every year. We even recently decided that once a year isn't enough, so we're going have it delivered to us on a more regular basis. Delicious, great quality, great service!
