Whether you’re near or far, enjoy Chicago’s finest! Our Famous Italian Beef is thinly sliced and slow-roasted for 4 hours in our secret blend of Italian spices. Customize each sandwich to your liking by adding over roasted sweet peppers, hot giardiniera peppers, and as much of our secretly spiced gravy as you'd like!
This sandwich kit makes 8 Italian Beef sandwiches and includes the following:
  • Portillo's Italian Beef (2 lbs)
  • Portillo's signature gravy (2 qts)
  • French bread rolls (8)
  • Oven roasted sweet peppers (8 oz)
  • Hot giardiniera (8 oz)

  • Prices include standard 2 day shipping Monday - Wednesday. Additional fees for Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight and Saturday Shipping. Additional fees also apply to shipments to Alaska and Hawaii and will still arrive in 2 days.
  • A box may arrive on or before your delivery date as we work to get all packages out in a timely manner and delivered for your event. If you have any questions, please call 866-YUM-BEEF (866-986-2333).
  • Order for delivery in advance to beat the holiday rush. All food orders must be placed to arrive before December 21st. Cannot place order to arrive December 22-29.
  • Your package could arrive before or after your selected delivery date. UPS is experiencing high volumes and packages may be delayed.
  • Italian beef is shipped frozen, it is normal for it to start to defrost, especially in hot temperatures.
  • Italian Beef & gravy can be stored in the fridge for 5-7 days, or frozen up to 3 months for best quality.

    Growing up in Chicagoland, these sandwiches are just what I remember. They are delicious. My only criticism would be the method of shipping that Portillo’s chooses to use. This is the second time that I have placed an on-line order to be shipped to me and the shipping was delayed, causing some thawing of the items in the shipment. Both times, FedEx notified me that the package should arrive between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and in both cases it arrived late. Because I had such a poor experience with the first incident (the package arrived 3+ hours late causing it to thaw and leak), this time I watched the clock closely and contacted FedEx just moments after the end of the delivery window to find out where my packages were. My packages did arrive within 20 minutes of my contacting FedEx this time around. I don’t understand FedEx’s actions since these boxes are clearly marked as perishable.

    Quantity was very generous and the quality of meat, gravel, peppers, and rolls was exceptional. This was my first order and used to serve guest. Order quantity was for 8 serving and I prepared it all for 5 people. I expected a lot of leftovers but it was all eaten. I compare it to finishing a pizza buy taking just a little more until it is all gone. My guests all wanted to split the 3 sandwiches.
