Italian Beef Sandwich Kit (Serves 8-10)

Very good as usual!! Zero complaints!

disappointed that the meat came in one package, makes it hard to eat in 2 batches like my mom is used to - she's by herself. When I send it to her, she has my sister over for a meal and the 2.5 lbs of meat is too much for that and reheating multiple times makes it tough. Disappointed.

The beef should be packaged so that you don't have to thaw it all at once. I can only give a 2 star review and can't recommend this product because of the beef packaging.

Do not like to he gravy in plastic bags. One of them had a hole in them and leaked out as it thawed. Never had that issue with the plastic containers. Please make the giardiniera as an add on. No one in my family likes it and it goes to waste. Otherwise, love Portillos. Wish you would bring one to Oklahoma City! It has been a favorite family treat for over 20 years as my husband was from Chicago. We get it anytime we are in the area. We have introduced it to our Grandchildren also. They love it too. Love that it can be shipped to us!

The majority of your complaints is that the gravy bags leak and that the meat is now in one package instead of two. Fix these problems and make your customers happy. Go back to the way it was before.

We received our kit it was not cold and some beef sauce had leaked all over inside of box. We have been buying these kits in the past. Never had a bad experience before. It was packed very poorly. Very disappointed.

We sent the great tasting Portillo's Italian beef sandwich kit to a brand new mother and father to give them a break from meal planning for themselves. The packaging was strong and durable and the food was wrapped and cold packed. We couldn't be happier and recipient's agreed!

Review based off of lack of customer service response alone. Placed my order for next day delivery to be delivered on Friday. I received this and immediately reached out to them. I needed my order before Sunday and expressed that in the email. They responded on Sunday and requested pictures. Not quite sure what happened but there was beef juice all over the inside of the package and some had seeped into the bread.

One of my Mother in laws favorite gifts. Never disappoints!

Everything was delicious, I actually liked that the rolls were smaller and doubled but I do not like that the meat was in one pkg...I preferred two so they didnt have to be ,Ade at once

Evert thing was great. Every time I order it brings me back to the many lunches that I enjoyed at your Downers Grove restaurant. One suggestion that would be helpful. We usually don’t need to make eight sandwiches. Having the beef and peppers split into two packages would allow us to keep half frozen for later consumption. Please consider this.

I'm very disappointed in your changes to this product. In the past, the beef came in two smaller frozen packages...so it didn't have to be thawed out at once. Now you have to thaw out entire package. Not everyone orders this for a large party...some want it for a dinner. Also no one wants the little mini rolls. What happened to the full size rolls? An Italian beef should be piled high on a large roll with peppers...not eaten as bite sized appetizers. Change it back...or give an option.. or this shareholder will not order this product again- even though the taste is great. Why did you change the packaging....do save a few dollars? Bad decision.

I failed to read the description well enough. I have ordered this before and received qty(2) - 1 lb bags of meat. I was able to get two separate meals from it. Now with qty(1) - 2.5lbs of beef, you have to open the one bag and then re-freeze the 2nd pound of meat. I liked it better with qty(2) - 1lb bags of meat. If you were serving 8-10 people at ONE time, then there is no issue.

Moved to Florida 3 years ago and miss this from when I lived in Illinois. Need to build a location in Ocala Fl 34481 area on Hwy 200. There are plenty of open sites to accomodate one down here. People from Illinois miss this place. Otherwise have to drive all the way to Clermont, Tampa, Orlando, or the Villages which is not around the corner!

It is so good, and I would argue that it is the most authentic to what you would get in one of Portillo's restaurants compared to any other restaurant's specialty that you can have delivered to your home. I also think you get a lot of food and value for the price of this kit. I can use less than half of the kit for a family dinner night with my wife and three kids and still have plenty left over to make lunches for a full week or more. I like how everything is packaged and arranged, and the instructions are very easy and repeatable. As I mentioned, you don't have to make the full kit, or even half of the kit, at once, and every time you make some sandwiches, they are as fresh as the first time. I highly recommend for any Portillo's fans, especially if you do not live near one.

Upgrades! Portillo's has seemingly perfected the home order version of the beef kit. The pre-cut breads and their size were noticed. And one solid beef pack, not shredded so thin the crumble. This was nicely, fairly sliced. Quality control is evident. Thank you, i'm a longtime consumer from chicago, starting at the schaumburg Portillo's on Golf late 80's. Then to everywhere else we can find you guys. Great work! Customer suggestion?; Could Portillo's one day offer combo home kits? As in, Half Italian beef, half hot dog's, or chili dogs, etc.
