Italian Beef Sandwich Kit (Serves 8-10)

Delicious! Honestly tastes like it does from the store and easy to make! My family and i have ordered these multiple times since moving away! My only complaint is that I don't like the small rolls. I don't know why they had to change it (or at least give the option for the regular ones vs small ones). It changes the experience slightly.

Not a fan of the 1/2 rolls. Give us the option. Larger French rolls needing to finish in the oven are my choice.

We have been ordering Portillo's Italian Beef Sandwich pack for about 15+ years and there is no better Italian Beef sandwich- anywhere. But over the last few years changes have been made to the packaging- and most not for the better. First, they stopped shipping the gravy in good sturdy white buckets, now it comes in big plastic bags and are greasy. Meat came in 2 packages- now just one, my sweet peppers were 3/4 peppers, 1/4 stems! Also who decided that heating instructions should only be available via QR code!! Now the last change is the only one that we liked. The rolls now come like half sandwiches and you can either have a whole (2) or half (1). Please stop making changes that don't help the customer. We will say The sandwiches were still delicious.

Sent as a gift. It was a huge surprise and well received. I expected to be present on the day of scheduled delivery, but it arrived a day early, without a heads-up, hence the surprise. I knew the food would be a hit because this family drives hours to celebrate at Portillos on special occasions, and they always visit Portillos when in Chicago. The recipient claimed it was the "best gift ever". The family members even loved the box the food came in! Highly recommend this as a gift for people with Chicago roots.

Everything with the beef's was very good. Love the peppers it comes with and the hot giardeneria. It took a couple times to get use to the half subs but they are fine. i always love this box. The hot peppers are crucial!

Food came on time. I appreciated the updates as to where the package was. When we received it, it was still frozen too! It was easy to assemble and my husband enjoyed it immensely! It reminded him of home!

The beef was delicious. The buns were hard. Had to buy bread from a local store. Not as good.

We sent this package to our son, Eric, for his 50th birthday. When it arrived he told me that part of the gravy had leaked and the rest of the package was partly frozen. I called your company and reported this. No effort was made to send more gravy. We have ordered from your company for special occasions, and this has never happened before. We were disappointed that the package didn't have adequate freezer packs. Thank you, Sharon & Larry Knoll

OMG!!! The food tasted like we were eating in the Portillo's restaurant. Easy to heat and so delicious.

Once again we ordered the Italian Beef Sandwich Kit (2) for our son's birthday. He and his friends, impressionable young men, thoroughly enjoyed the hearty and juicy Americana food. The sandwich has been our go-to entry for our special occasions, and it never fails. The quality is remarkable, very close to the fresh restaurant orders, the price is unbeatable, the shipment is fast and reliable, and the occasional communications with customer service were completely satisfactory.

I used to live in Chicago and even went to school with the Portillo's! After moving to California, it was wonderful to know that I could still order my Portillo's Beef Sandwiches and have them shipped directly to my house. I order this Italian Beef Kit many times per year. Even though it states it serves 8-10, I get many more servings than that. It comes with 16 slightly smaller rolls than it used to and I'm very happy about that (it used to include 8 larger rolls). I can easily get 16-20 sandwiches out of this. Of course, the restaurant really piles on the beef, so that makes a difference. I still use a lot of beef, but not quite as much per sandwich as the restaurant does. That's why I get many more sandwiches out of this kit. Love, love, love Portillo's!

I've loved Portillios for years. I have since moved back to Sacramento County. I have ordered one Sandwich box for myself and Friends to try, and just ordered a Sandwich box for.my Godfather to try, and enjoy, for Father's day! I heard he was like a kid at Christmas opening the box! Heeee! Heeeee! Never a disappointment!!!! Any Portillios opening up near Sacramento or Lodi?

I've ordered Portillo's shipped Italian beef before and have always been very pleased with the quality and packaging. Unfortunately, this recent order was a different experience. When the package arrived, there was liquid leaking inside the box. I took pictures but couldn't immediately tell which item had leaked. At first, I thought it might have been the gravy, but after unpacking everything, I discovered that the container of peppers had leaked all over the box during shipping. While the food itself was still good, it was disappointing to receive the order in that condition and lose some of the peppers. Another frustration was not knowing how to easily get in touch with customer service regarding the issue. A clear process for reporting damaged shipments would have been helpful. I still enjoy Portillo's products and have had positive experiences in the past, which is why I'm giving three stars. I'm hoping this was just an isolated shipping issue and that future orders are great.

Living in the panhandle of Florida there is no good beef sandwiches. We come from the Midwest and its nice to have it shipped. The only complaint is that the beef used to come in 2 separate packages. My small family woul usually only use one and we'd save the rest for another time. Now we have to separate and repackage it. Not a fan of the larger bags.

Keep up the good service

They need to sort out the shipping. I picked a Friday with days of advance notice. It was delayed twice and wasn't delivered until Sunday. It was no longer frozen. Portillos clearly has access to all this information and didn't reach out or anything. I get that they don't control the shipper doing their job, but they sure as heck own making sure the delivery was good.

Always a grat beef sandwich away from the Chicago/Illinois area. So easy to get that great sandwich!

Soooo delicious!! Greatest way to celebrate any special occasion by ordering in Portillo's. We need a location in ABQ!! If you like italian beef sandwiches- Portillo's is a must!!! 5 Stars!

Very good, but upon receiving and opening the cooler, one of the gravy bags was leaking and there was gravy all over the cooler

The food was great, but the delivery came earlier than the selected date. It was sitting outside for an unknown amount of time since it was not expected that day.
