Whether you’re near or far, enjoy Chicago’s finest! Our Famous Italian Beef is thinly sliced and oven-roasted for 4 hours in our secret blend of Italian spices. Customize each sandwich to your liking by adding oven-roasted sweet peppers, hot giardiniera peppers, and as much of our secretly spiced gravy as you'd like!
This sandwich kit makes 16 half sandwiches and includes the following:
  • Portillo's Italian Beef (2.5 lbs)
  • Portillo's signature gravy (2 qts)
  • French bread rolls (16)
  • Oven roasted sweet peppers (8 oz)
  • Hot giardiniera (16 oz)

  • Prices include standard 2 day shipping Monday - Wednesday. Additional fees for Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight and Saturday Shipping. Additional fees also apply to shipments to Alaska and Hawaii and will still arrive in 2 days.
  • A box may arrive on or before your delivery date as we work to get all packages out in a timely manner and delivered for your event. If you have any questions, please call 866-YUM-BEEF (866-986-2333).
  • Order for delivery in advance to beat the holiday rush. All food orders must be placed to arrive before December 21st. Cannot place order to arrive December 22-29.
  • Your package could arrive before or after your selected delivery date. UPS is experiencing high volumes and packages may be delayed.
  • Italian beef is shipped frozen, it is normal for it to start to defrost, especially in hot temperatures.
  • Italian Beef & gravy can be stored in the fridge for 5-7 days, or frozen up to 3 months for best quality.

    I really don’t like the new packaging of all the beef together. My husband and I love the Italian beef but we can’t eat all the meat at once. Before, when it was in 2 packages, we could enjoy one and freeze the other to have at a later time. The new packaging is extremely inconvenient and will affect my future purchases.

    We have ordered this box for many years and did not really look at the items since we thought we knew what we were getting. You used to get two gravy packages, two bags of meat and 8 rolls. Now you have all the meat in one pack which is not helpful for freezing, it was nicer when it was already separate. The small rolls are not what you get at the store when you get a beef so not sure why you now get these little buns but not really liking them and will really have to think again if we will be ordering this beef box due to the changes.

    I used to love ordering these but you’ve changed the structure and it makes no sense to me! 2.5lbs of beef is simply not enough for the bread you send. They used to be in packs of 4 which were much easier to eat (not all at once). Just my feedback. We love ordering these things but probably won’t again if this is the structure moving forward.

    Absolutely love portillo's italian beef sandwiches! It's so nice to be able to order them up in the PNW where we don't have any. The meat is phenomenal, and the bread cooks perfectly. Honestly, this used to be 5 stars. Sadly they did make it significantly worse by changing the bread to "half sandwiches" and packaging the meat in 1 big package instead of 2 smaller ones. So basically you eat it all at once or waste a bunch of it. I'm not complaining too much, it's still worth getting once in a while, but I really hope they go back to the old way. For a smaller family it's just less convenient and we'll get it less often.

    We moved to Utah from the Chicago Suburbs about 7 years ago. We had always loved the Portillo's franchise Italian boat beef and Chicago style hot dogs. There is no eatery here in Utah that comes close to Portillo's. So we ordered the online Italian roast beef for 8 people and we loved it! Just like coming home. We highly recommend!

    I'm originally from Wood Dale, IL. I've been eating Portillo's since I was a young child. My whole family loves it. I'm so happy that this order is now coming with 16 rolls!! It used to come with only 8 rolls that were a little bit larger. But the slightly smaller size of the 16 rolls is perfect! I was always asking how to get more rolls. For my family, this order easily feeds 16 people. Of course, you just don't heap on the beef as much as you'd get in the restaurant, but you can still put on a good amount of beef. I've ordered this 3 times this year!! Now my only suggestion would be to include a larger amount of the green peppers. Twice as much would be perfect!

    Do not like new packaging in which gravy and meat are each packaged into a single package. With new packaging, you now have to thaw each out and repackage and then refreeze. Not good. Have been shipping the Italian beef as gifts for years to single people who can not possibly eat 8 sandwiches within a reasonable period of time. Not sure I will send as gifts any longer. Bad decision in your part.
