Italian Beef Sandwich Kit (Serves 8-10)

My family’s from Chicago and we all love and miss Portillo’s. My sister had just gotten out of the hospital and I ordered the beef kit for her in Tennessee. We’ve ordered Portillo’s to the address before with no problem. The order was never delivered. I received no contact to let me know why. I had to check myself to find it never made it past Chattanooga. I live in Florida so I was doing all this from out of her state. I was very disappointed that no one bothered to contact me to fix this. I had to call and it was sent again and was delivered yesterday. I’m very upset with the lack or communication and customer service. Thank you

FedEx delivered a day late and it was HOT inside the cooler! The gravy packet opened and soaked everything inside the cooler and some of the exterior box. The meat, peppers and the opened gravy were not usable and had to be thrown away! The rolls were soaked by the gravy and a mess inside my cooler. Ruined my 4th of July party. Will never do this again.... Feel free to refund my money - I spent $250 in two different orders!

We have gotten Portillo's shipped here via our orders or from friends over the years. But, mostly when we return to Chicago to visit is when we eat Portillo's, many times over each trip! We have kept this particular order frozen, because our special occasion is not for a few weeks. But, we can hardly wait to get after it, because Portillo's is ALWAYS the best!!!! Thankyou. This was sent as a gift. We expected a little defrosting but unfortunately the gravey package leaked onto the rolls. New rolls were purchased and the sandwiches were enjoyed by all.

I love this taste of home. Really want to find out how the bell peppers are made and what sause it's in. People think they are fattening. I have no pictures we ate everything quickly. Your sandwich rolls really shrank alot.

I paid for 2 day delivery and it did not arrive until the 5th day. Very disappointed

Love Portillo's delivery kits!! Made the easiest 4th of July dinner. Hearty and filling after a day on the lake. Easy to prep before the fireworks. Leftovers are great too!

We love Portillo's Italian Beef! We lived in Chicago for years and always went there when in need of a great sandwich! It is still our Christmas Eve tradition…we order the sandwiches and the entire family looks forward to Christmas Eve dinner. The delivery service is great and everything always arrives in great shape. You won't be disappointed!

What can I say? When you have a craving for Chicago Italian beef sandwiches, Portillo's is the place. We live a little over 2000 miles from Chicago and hundreds of miles from any Portillo's outpost, so we had the Beef Kit delivered. It's a little pricey, but not too bad when you divide by eight. You just need some friends to help you eat it. We tried to replicate these sandos at home, but it's impossible - the spices are too subtle and you need to come up with plenty of beef fat to add to the au jus. Without the fat it isn't the same. The good news is that heating and serving these big boys is as easy as pie. We also liked that Portillo's sent us 16 half-rolls instead of the usual eight full sized ones. This makes serving sizes easier for those diners that aren't big eaters. Delicious sandwich, highly recommended.

Delivery was a day late in 100 degree heat, meat was half thawed and one package was leaking.

The Italian beef was as good as eating it in Chicago!!! The ordering was easy, the shipping packing and delivery perfect. We were so surprised and thrilled with the quality.

We gave my order 2 tries. Both times the delivery date was missed by two or more days rendering the order uneatable. Had to through them out. I asked for a refund after the second failure. Haven't seen it show up on my debit card.

Fantastic sandwiches. Everything was in the box. I had eight people, and had plenty leftover for more sandwiches.Shipping was excellent. It came on the day it was supposed to, and still ice cold.

What a treat! As an old customer from long long ago I truly appreciate the roast beef. Takes me right to Chicago again!the rolls were a great idea with the size although my grandsons wished for the old larger rolls! The beef was awesome as well as EVERYTHING else. I can always rely on Portillos! The portions were great! I’ve started heating up the sauce in a slow cooker and then when everyone’s ready I put in the beef slices for 5-6 minutes. Works great!

Food is very good. Gravy leaked in the box, leaving a wet box bottom....very messy.

Very happy overall…two of the rolls were very hard compared to the others when first opened. Amount of peppers a little skimpy for 8-10 sandwiches.

Delicious! Honestly tastes like it does from the store and easy to make! My family and i have ordered these multiple times since moving away! My only complaint is that I don't like the small rolls. I don't know why they had to change it (or at least give the option for the regular ones vs small ones). It changes the experience slightly.

Not a fan of the 1/2 rolls. Give us the option. Larger French rolls needing to finish in the oven are my choice.
