Italian Beef Sandwich Kit (Serves 8-10)

Awesome pack. The buns are smaller but that actually worked better this time.

I'm originally from Chicago and hadn't had a real italian beef sandwich in 20 years. It was better than I remembered. Thanks portillos.

Gravy was open upon arrival and was all over interior of box. I sent email about the situation and never heard anything in response. This was a birthday gift.

I have sent this same order for years now. And the only thing is the change in size of the product and a slight taste difference.

Just wanted to say thank you to all that gave honest reviews. We were on the fence about having it shipped. I think we'll save our money.

Everyone enjoyed the package but the same comment keeps arising. Why can't they package the meat in two or three packages? There are two of us and three in the other family. Package feeds eight.

Love these sandwiches. Some feedback: Love the new smaller rolls. I prefer 2 1 lb packages of beef (as it was in the past) because I can freeze 1/2 and have 2nd serving later. Would like option to sub more sweet green peppers and not receive the hot peppers. We don't eat the hot peppers and end up making more sweet green peppers to fill all the sandwiches. Not crazy about the shipping charge, but understand. Still the best sandwich in the world - wish you were closer.

I LOVE PORTILLO’S. Saddened when I saw they’ve changed a few things: 1) Buns are smaller. Basically half size but same number of buns so you can do the math. 2)Also the beef for 16 was in 1 large pkg. instead of 2. This meant I had to thaw and fluff the whole thing even though we only wanted 8 sandwiches. 3) You can’t order for 8 anymore. 16 is the smallest available. Last - when I gave feedback I was amused by the response from Portillo’s that these changes are to enhance the customer’s experience. I still love them and will adapt. :(

Easy to prepare, and most important delicious

The last time we ordered in May the beef came in 2 packages which was very convenient as we could defrost 1# at a time. This time it came all in one. This was not ideal at all. Both times the packaging leaked all over the box and we list a lot of the gravy. I didn’t say anything the first time as I thought it was a glitch but when it happened this time too I knew there has to be an issue with packing. Flavor was great as always. We lived in Chicago for 60 years and moved a year ago. Always good to have a taste of home. Packaging needs improvement.

Portillos is the best. It tastes like home. I hope they open a store here in Rockwall county.

At first me and my wife were skeptical about the bread for the sandwiches because they are smaller than what they normally are but we actually like the idea you get more bang for your buck and it's a lot of meat left over you can use for other things but besides that we really did appreciate this year's order, I'm from Chicago but I moved to Denver a while back & we normally order from these guys every year around Christmas or New Years and we've been doing so for the last 6 years

Only thing better would be sitting in a Potillo's in Chicago! Perfect experience from ordering to shipping to eating. An authentic Portillo's sandwich in Baton Rouge. Totally worth it! Thanks Portillo's!

It took 3 tries. We didn't get to have Portillos on Christmas Eve or on New Years Eve but on the 3rd delivery everything was there and nothing was damaged. So, the 3rd time was the charm.

We send this every year to family in Maine and it’s always a hit!!!

The Italian beef sandwich has become a birthday tradition for our family. We’ve done this for years. I wasn’t sure about the smaller bread rolls but it worked out great because some of my girls prefer to eat half of the larger ones. My family loves these.

Food was good but we paid extra to have it delivered quickly and it didn’t come when it was supposed to.

I order every year for last 8 since moving where no Portillos. Very disappointed this year. The buns are half sizes now and not fresh had hard edges and the beef itself was tough and not as flavorful.

The kids loved the Italian Beef sandwiches. Reminded them of Chicago.

This was my 3rd order places this Holiday season. First 2 orders arrived with no problems. This order was a mess. Has to be reshipped 2 times. 1st gravy bag leaked in shipping container. 2nd was missing the beef. 3rd order arrived almost 2 weeks after 1st order and it was correct. 3rd time must have been the charm. 2 replacement orders isn't good for business. Thanks for finally getting us a good order

Ordering was easy and product arrived as promised.

This is a 10/10. My husband even mentioned he liked it better than eating at the restaurant. The portions were HUGE! It made 16 massive sandwiches, more au jus than we could have used, the meat was delicious, bread soft, and peppers were great. We still have part of a jar of the spicy in the fridge. Shipping arrived in the expected window, packed to keep quality fresh. Again, we liked these better than the one in the restaurant, which by the way are still fantastic. We will probably purchase a few of these packages every year for special occasions. Our native Chicago neighbors came over and it was like Christmas for them too.

The buns were awful, one side of the buns were soggy and wet, the other side of the buns were hard as a rock. Not great for the amount we paid for.

I placed an order on 12/23 and paid $30 for the order to be delivered next day 12/24. The package did NOT arrive until Friday 12/26. So I was extremely disappointed.

Love to get shipments to Ohio after we visited your AZ stores frequently! Would like the meat to come in 2 seperate packages as we can’t eat all after opened. Please consider
