Hot dog! We’re bun-believably excited to announce that we’ll hold the grand opening for our newest restaurant, located in Schererville, IN, on Tuesday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m., following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. The restaurant, located at 1403 US 41, marks our eighth restaurant in the state of Indiana.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will include Portillo’s VP of Restaurant Support, Michael Portillo. During the ceremony, we will also present our charity partners, Lake Central Education Foundation and the Food Bank of North West Indiana, with a check for the funds raised during our Sneak Peek training meals on November 7 and 8.
Once open, guests can expect to enjoy signature menu items like Chicago-style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake.
Situated just a quarter of a mile north of where US 41 and US 30 intersect in the beautiful city of Schererville – a high-traffic location known affectionately by locals as the “Crossroads of the Nation” – the 7,800-square-foot restaurant will feature seating for more than 175 guests and double-lane drive-thru.
