Finally, Portillo's is coming to Deerfield, Illinois.
The Portillo's restaurant will open in Deerfield in late 2016 and will be located on the northwest corner of Lake Cook Rd. and Deer Lake Rd.
“Portillo’s has been looking to open in Deerfield for a while. We found a great location and we have the full support of the city of Deerfield,” said Portillo’s CEO Keith Kinsey. “We’re looking forward to starting the construction process, hiring a great team, and opening soon.”
The 9,000 square foot restaurant will feature a 1970s theme, two drive-thru lanes, seasonal outdoor seating, and will sell beer.
This will be the second 70’s themed Portillo’s restaurant, after the Homewood, IL location opened in September of 2015.
“We couldn’t have made this happen without the support of the Village of Deerfield,” Kinsey said.
The Deerfield Portillo’s will employ over 200 crew members and managers and will begin hiring soon.
