PORTILLO’S TO OPEN NEW ST. PETERSBURG RESTAURANT ON APRIL 5

The iconic Chicago-style restaurant will be the Company’s fourth location in the state of Florida

Oak Brook, Ill., April 4, 2022 Portillo’s (NASDAQ: PTLO), the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of unrivaled Chicago street food, today announced it will open the doors of its fourth restaurant in the state of Florida to the public on Tuesday, April 5 at 10:30a.m. ET, following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00a.m.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will include Portillo’s VP of Restaurant Support, Michael Portillo. During the ceremony, Portillo’s will also present its charity partners, Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Pinellas Education Foundation, with a check for the funds raised during the brands Sneak Peek training meals on March 28 and 29. In total, the brand will be presenting $21,824 to the non-profit organizations.

Once open, guests can expect to enjoy Portillo’s signature menu items like Chicago-style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake. Located at 2302 Tyrone Boulevard North in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg, the 7,800-square-foot restaurant will feature seating for more than 190 guests, a seasonal outdoor patio with seating for 50, and double drive-thru lanes. Just as all other traditional Portillo’s, it will include a diner-themed interior, drawing inspiration from the 1950s and 1960s.

To help launch the new restaurant, Portillo’s designed a limited-edition t-shirt for this location. Guests are invited to sign up for Portillo’s Birthday Club to receive one of these shirts on opening day, while supplies last. Fans who sign up also receive a slice of Portillo’s homemade chocolate cake on their birthday.
