Born in Chicago, grew up in La Grange, Italian family. The only thing we are more than Italian beef was pasta. And not by much! When I moved to Arizona 8 yrs ago from California I was surprised and stoked to find a couple Portillio's here. They've added an additional 3 or 4 restaurants since then, one just 10 min away. All great. When they stopped selling tamales in 2020, I was a lil upset. When I sent a message inquiring as to why no more tamales, I was told that they stopped supplying them to out of state (outside Illinois - Indiana) due to complications from the Covid crap. I wrote back that the explanation given made no sense whatsoever, to me. What exactly about the Covid thing made it too complicated to supply only tamales (out of all your other food items only those) to your restaurants? I didn't receive a response. Find it ridiculous they still refuse to sell tamales in Arizona restaurants. They're the best tamales tho, so worth having them shipped 40 at a time.
