We came, we saw, we celebrated. This year, our fans truly took the cake and helped us bring in year 56 on a sweet note. To commemorate the occasion, on Tuesday, April 9 we offered guests 56 cent Famous Chocolate Cake slices with the purchase of any sandwich (including a hot dog), entrée salad, pasta, or ribs.
This year alone, we sold over 112,000 slices of cake. That’s an average of 2,000 slices per restaurant- making it our most successful year yet.
To our fans in Arizona, California, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin – don’t forget to visit us in the drive thru all month long! We are giving away various surprise offers to guests who place an order in the drive thru during the month of April in all locations outside of Illinois. Offerings include a free large fry, $1 hot dog with entrée purchase, and $5 off $15 on an online order, among others. Guests must apply the offer on their next visit to Portillo's.
