The USDA released a statement on May 18, 2019 regarding a recall of Vienna Hot Dogs due to possible metal contamination. Portillo’s has confirmed with the team at Vienna Beef that this does NOT affect product related to Portillo’s. This was a voluntary recall initiated by Vienna in which all affected product has been accounted for and destroyed. Portillo’s hot dogs were NOT included in this recall and are safe to consume.
