We’re firing up the broiler and sharing some big news: Portillo’s is coming to Buford, Georgia! Our new restaurant is expected to open in 2027, marking our second location in the Peach State following the opening of Portillo’s Kennesaw in November 2025.
Soon, even more Georgia guests will be able to get their Portillo’s fix without making the trip to Chicago.
Coming Soon to Buford
Our new Portillo’s will be located at the intersection of Buford Highway (Highway 20) and Mall of Georgia Boulevard, bringing our signature Chicago-style favorites to a popular Georgia shopping and dining destinations.
The approximately 4,900-square-foot restaurant will have room for nearly 100 guests inside, plus another 20 on the outdoor patio. And whether you’re staying awhile or grabbing your favorites on the go, we’ve got you covered with our signature double drive-thru lanes, Portillo’s Pick-Up shelves and a Grab and Go area.
Beef, Burgers, Dogs and Cake? You Bet.
When we open our doors in 2027, guests can expect the Portillo’s favorites they know and crave, including our Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Char-Broiled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake, along with more of our signature Chicago-style menu.
And since we’re sharing the news on National Cheeseburger Day, we have to give a little extra love to those Char-Grilled Burgers. Buford, we hope you’re hungry.
